Raid EDHEC Association

HISTOIRE

The Raid EDHEC is a student association according to the law of 1901. It is organized by fifty students of the EDHEC business school. This association has the distinction of being bi-campus: it develops both on the campus of the school in Lille, and on the campus of Nice. Created on the campus of Nice, it appears on the Lille campus for the 13th edition of the Raid, in 2006.

In 2006, the EDHEC Raid took on a new dimension by launching the Aventuraid, which brings together for a weekend 350 students for a route of 70 or 120 km in the north of France. The 2019 edition will be held in Fontainebleau the weekend of March 23rd to March 24th, 2019.

For the first time in 2015, the EDHEC Raid organizes a trail, the Trail du Soleil Levens, which aims to make the world of nature sports known to the greatest number.

NOS VALEURS

The association aims to offer on each of its three events a sporting adventure, human and friendly event and finally 100% nature. We reinforce our efforts every year to respect nature with the supervision of the environment pole. We want to promote the practice of nature sports and respect the landscapes and territories hosting our events.

The association is structured in different poles:

  • The logistics center, responsible for the layout of the course, and the organization of departure, bivouac, the arrival of competitors and administrative relations.
  • The Business relations division, responsible for soliciting lots and financial soliciting from companies.
  • The Nutrition division, responsible for the management of supplies on events.
  • The Competitors division, responsible for recruiting potential participants in events.
  • The Communication division, responsible for promoting the event and ensuring its reputation.
  • The Environment division, responsible for protecting the environment throughout the competition.

Our events

The EDHEC Raid is a multi-sport nature raid in orientation that takes place over 5 days, usually at the end of May, in the heart of the Southern Alps with an arrival on the Colline du Château in Nice. Recognized as one of the most difficult raids in France, most competitors are professional sportsmen, accustomed to nature raids. Each year, some student teams take up the challenge. Competitors come from all over France and even from Belgium and Switzerland.

The Aventuraid is a 2-day multi-sport raid (orientation, trail, mountain bike, run & bike and other activities such as kayaking, archery …). It has 350 participants and attracts many students but also confirmed athletes. Two courses exist, the Discovery Track Buff (70km) and the Sport Track Buff (120km).

The Aventuraid took place in Montreuil-sur-Mer for 7 years. For the first time in 2014, it took place in Chantilly. In view of the success of this move, the 9th edition also took place in the forests of the Paris region. For its 10th anniversary, the Aventuraid moved a second time to Compiègne. This year it will take place in Fontainebleau on the 23rd and 24th March 2019.

The EDHEC Raid and the Nice hinterland, it’s a long story, which is not ready to stop! In 2015, we created a trail in Levens near Nice. With courses ranging from 6km to 30km, then offering hiking or trail, the Trail du Soleil Levens is accessible and open to all.

Raid EDHEC Team

Team Raid EDHEC is made up of members of the association who decide to participate on behalf of the EDHEC Raid in races (mainly trails and raids). The goal is to have fun by living his passion for nature sports, to raise awareness of the association and increase his knowledge of organizing sports events.

In 2016, the Team will have participated in the Raid ICAM, the PACA Raid, the Trail of Baous, the Extreme Trail in Lille…
